Most clients need two documents:
Proof of identity: a valid passport (preferred), driving licence or national ID card. It must show your full name, photo, date of birth, ID number and expiry date.
Proof of address: a bank statement, credit card statement or utility bill from the last 3 months, showing your name and the address in your application. We can't accept mobile phone bills, TV licences or PO Box addresses.
The details on your documents must match your application. Each image must be clear and show all four corners of the document.
After you submit your application, we email you a secure link to upload your documents. The link is the only way to reach the upload page, so keep the email.
Depending on your circumstances, we may also ask for a second, different proof of identity, proof of your source of wealth and a few questions about how you plan to trade. See 'Why am I being asked for more documents?'
