Is my money kept separate from ACG Markets' own money?

How we hold client money

A
Written by Alex Nicholas

Yes. Our Client Services Agreement says we place client money in segregated client bank accounts, separate from ACG Markets' own accounts. These are held with approved banks or payment providers. Our Conflicts of Interest Policy also says client assets are legally segregated from ours in case ACG Markets becomes insolvent, and that we keep separate records for each client.

Things to know:

  • To settle or cover your trades, we may pass client money to other parties, such as an intermediate broker. They may hold it in a pooled (omnibus) account. If one of them became insolvent, you might not have a claim on a specific sum.

  • We're not liable for the solvency of the banks or other parties that hold client money.

  • We don't pay interest on client money.
